A cycle is a matrix of relations, of which all sources and all destinations belong respectively to the same event types. As there are four events types (energies OO, acts OM, mutations MO and concepts MM), the number of cycles is : 4 x 4 = 16. The set of 16 cycles contains all the possible combinations of IEML events in the « source » or « destination » roles of a flow, that is to say 625 relations. A cycle is a complex dialectic of interdependent relations.
