The majority of the initial paradigms (ideas matrixes) of ieml are based on the human development cycle. This cycle is also the original seed of the metalanguage. The
row beginning by s declines the different conditions of the « thought » existence. Virtual conditions to begin: organization of knowledge sy, concern for thought so, ability to think se thanks to the mastery of codes ; then actual conditions : the image su in order to give a form to the thought (« image » is here to be understood in its most abstract meaning – the greek « eidos »
or « eidolon » - and not in its strictly visual signification), the interpreter sa gives a subject and a meaning to the thought, and the interface si supports it physically. To take another example, the row beginning by k declines the different conditions of the « society » existence, beginning by the virtual conditions (knowledge ky, will ko, power ke) and ending by the actual conditions (in signs ku, in people ka and in things ki). So, each row presents the systematic variations of the nine ieml concepts MM (thought s, language b, memory t, society k, affect m, world n, truth d, life f and space l), following their accomplishment of – and their conditioning by – the six ieml acts OM (y to know, o to want, e can, u to enunciate in a message, a to commit in person, i to make or build in the material universe). It is also possible to read the human developent cycle by columns. In this reading,
the acts are constant (in the same column) and the concepts create the variation.- The column ending by y declines the main kinds of knowledge.- The column ending by o declines the main kinds of will, or organizing intentions of the human world.- The column ending by e declines the main competencies.- The column ending by u declines the main types of signs.- The column ending by a declines the fundamental personal or social roles.- The column ending by i declines the main physical or material supports of human life, including, of course, tools and technologies.
