IEML is based on three primitive dialectics: - the cognitive dialectic (polar dialectic) between pragmatic O and semantic M.- the binary pragmatic dialectic (action dialectic) between virtual U (devoid of spatio-temporal coordinates) and actual A (addressable in spatio-temporal coordinates),- the ternary semantic dialectic (represention dialectic) between sign S (signifier), being B (signified for an interpreter) and thing T (referent). Primitive dialectics generate IEML matrixes (or tables), that can be considered as complex or composed dialectics.
