Wikimetal Usage Guide
Wikimetal is a collaborative enviroment used to create natural language relationships with ieml words. This document describes the proper form to be used with wikimetal articles. Using and maintaining the proper form will increse consistency in article presentation, maintain the interwiki language links, ensure succesfull parsing and submit only “concluded” articles to the ieml reference dictionary.
Loging in
To participate to the ieml you must obtain an account from an administrator. This account will allow you to add and modify content to a language specific wikimetal.
New Articles
New articles can be created by adding the ieml word directly in the url bar of a web browser with the proper wikimetal URL prefix. The following is an example using the ieml word wo. The URL must always be entered in lowercase.
http://www.ieml.org/wikimetal_en/index.php/wo
If the article aready exists, the article will load. Modifying it’s content is possible by clicking on the modify tab (modifier in french and editar in portugese)
To contribute to the correct language version of wikimetal, check the international language code in the URL bar. There is currently three available language version of wikimetal:
English ->http://www.ieml.org/wikimetal_fr/ French ->http://www.ieml.org/wikimetal_en/ Portugese ->http://www.ieml.org/wikimetal_pt/
Article form
To maintain a consistent form, all wikimetal articles will adhere to the same basic template. The following is an example using the ieml word wo in the English wikimetal.
== Descriptor == reflect == Descripton == The movement of information goes from the virtual U to the virtual U (from the mind to the mind). It evoques the generation of possibles. [[fr:wo]] [[pt:wo]]
== Descriptor ==(using two equal characters and a space before and after Descriptor.)
The ieml natural language descriptor should be placed under the Descriptor section title with no periods other additional characters.
Following the descriptor, is the natural language description indentified with the section title== Description ==(using two equal characters before and after Descriptor.) If there is no description, do not write the section title.
At the end of every wikimetal article is the interwiki language links. These links create a relationship with the articles in other language versions of wikimetal. Since there is a French and portugese version of wikimetal, the English wikimetal articles require a French and Portuguese language link. These links use the mediawiki syntax:
French language link:
[[fr:article name]]
Portuguese language link:
[[pt:article name]]
